The Pride of South Texas has always been known for its big sound and will present their 2015 show, "Selena", with the colorguard in a brand new look! Abraham Armendariz will be the instructor for the 2015 marching season of the Javelina Marching Band. He has been a member of the Javelina Colorguard from the 2009-2012 marching seasons, the assistant instructor for 2013, and the instructor for 2014. He has also marched with an open class drum corp in the summers of 2009 and 2011 as a guard member. The Javelina Colorguard is an extension of The Texas A&M University Kingsville Music Department! Our goal is not to develop colorguard teachers or professionals, but adults who are high-achieving individuals competent in the sport of colorguard and their field of study.

You will have opportunities to work on rifle and saber in the fall of 2015. If you are interested in spinning rifle, you need to provide your own equipment. You can go to http://www.thebandhall.com/ to purchase a rifle. The brand of rifle is the "Elite 4!" with a black or silver bolt and black strap. The 39" rifle is $32.95. Auditions will be held the Sunday of check-in. Sabers will be provided by the university.
