Spring 2018 Orchestra Audition Information
Placement in the Kingsville Symphony Orchestra will be determined by auditions at the beginning of the semester. Click here to register for an audition time and to get information on audition dates:
Audition Requirements:
1. Two Major Scales (for most instruments)
2. Prepared solo of your choice demonstrating your highest level of musicianship and technique (2-3 minutes max, contrasting sections ok) - Something you have already polished, so we can hear your potential. This should be on marimba for percussionists.
3. Sight-reading, which will be heavily weighted. Percussion will consist of a snare excerpt and brief bass drum/crash cymbal demonstration.
4. Percussion will have an additional excerpt (see below) to audition for the Principal Timpani spot in KSO>
